Mitt Romney – The Rodney Dangerfield of Politics

Mitt Romney won 6 of the 10 states contested on Super Tuesday!  And what does the media report:  Mitt’s wins were not good enough.  Romney gets no respect from the left-wing media.  Why?  That’s easy….Romney is the most electable candidate that the GOP has and the Democrats fear him.  Romney, who lacks the charisma of some politicians, is a highly successful businessman, a devoted family man, is deeply religious, and can appeal to the independents that will swing the 2012 election.  When push comes to shove, the ultra-conservatives and evangelicals will support Romney because they do not want another 4 years of Obama.  Romney has the greatest chance to appeal to the moderate voters who took a shot with Obama in 2008, but have found that their choice was a poor one.

Look at the alternatives.  Rick Santorum is just plain nuts….and his supporters will fall into line with the GOP nominee to oust Obama.  Nobody seems to give Romney credit for overcoming a large Santorum lead in Ohio to win the primary.  No Respect!  Gingrich is a buffoon!  Ron Paul makes excellent points about the intrusion of government into the private lives of citizens, but his message cannot carry a nation.  Even Sarah Palin (another nut-case) and Rick Perry will campaign for Romney!

Romney has secured more than twice the delegates than Santorum….and will win many more before the GOP convention.  Unless Mitt does something out of character, he will be the person to defend the country against Obama.  He deserves more respect than he is getting!  Behind closed doors, I wager that the pundits at NBC, CBS, MSNBC, and ABC are searching their small minds for the next smear editorial against Romney.  Mitt is resilient….a proven leader.  Maybe it is time for a steady, slow hand at the helm of the mighty ship called America!
